With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Freddy Gene Gray Sr. (Mount Airy, North Carolina), who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Bishop Gray (Willie Gray) and Willie Edward Gray; his brother Willie Edward Gray, Jr.; his brother-in-law Larry Eades; and his cousin Oceale Bishop.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Lisa Gray (Randall Patterson), Sheila Gray (Scott Kirkpatrick), Freddy Gray, Jr., Jenna Gray, Sarah Kirkpatrick (Dylan Constantine), Jessica Kirkpatrick Tyndall (Matthew) and Lauren Kirkpatrick; his siblings, Glen Edward "Eddy" Gray (Bonnie), Sarah Eades Penley (Jake), Pamela "Pam" Gray Edmondson (Mike) and Max; and also, Mary Jo Gray and Ben Havlak.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Skyline Memory Gardens (432 Old Buck Shoals Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
