He is survived by: his wife Ann Kilpatrick Johnson; his children, Kristi Johnson Marion (Jeffrey Johnson), Kelli Johnson Billings (David Billings, Jr.), Lindsey VanHorn (Luke VanHorn), Brittany Sullivan Clontz (Tyler Clontz), Dusty Lyons and Ryan Sullivan; his grandchildren, Elizabeth "Ella" Marion, Burton Slate Marion, Luke Billings (Hitomi), Jasmyn Billings, Lily Billings, Thea VanHorn, John VanHorn, Zoey McMillian, Kaylee McMillian, Vincent Clontz, Lyla Lyons, Layla Sullivan and Timothy "TJ" Sullivan; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Harper Billings; and his siblings, Karen Johnson Stewart and Wade Guy Johnson, Jr.. He is also survived by other loving family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Community Baptist Church (644 Haystack Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Community Baptist Church Cemetery (644 Haystack Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
