She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald Clabaugh and Violet Clabaugh; her spouse Merritt Carlson, Jr.; and her sisters, Margaret Nelson and Janet Clabaugh.

She is survived by : her children, Tammy Kisken of La Crosse and Martin Carlson (Teresa) of Pinnacle; her granddaughters, Adeline and Madalyn; and her siblings-in-law, Joan McDermott of Elk Point and Carl Nelson of Sioux City. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
