He was predeceased by: his wife Mae; his son Jay; and his granddaughter Allana Mae. He is survived by: his close friend Herbert; his sister Rita; and his brother-in-law Bill Hiatt.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (162 Temple Ln, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Oakdale Cemetery (1500 N Main St, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
