She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Goad and Perlie Mae Horton Goad; her husband Roby DeHart Sumner; her siblings, Icy Faye Goad Slate and Obie Eldon Goad; and her stepson Alan Sumner.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen Jackson (Odell); her grandson Seth Jackson; her brother-in-law Billie Slate; her stepsons, Mark Sumner (Sherry) and Tommy Sumner; and her stepdaughter-in-law Diane Sumner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
