Jeannie leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jeannie’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Jeannie will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Leonard "Dick" and Mary Etta Steele Young; her sister Elizabeth Ann; and her brother-in-law Gregg Henderson Martin. She is survived by: her nephews, Joshua Henderson Martin (Candice) and Jeffery Leonard Martin (Meredith Leas); her great-niece Hailey Nicole Martin; and her great-stepnephew Aiden Hocken.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Skyline Memory Gardens (432 Old Buck Shoals Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030). Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
