He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Brooks and Lillie Tolbert Brooks; his wife Vickie Jean Coalson Brooks; his daughter Shirley Jean Brooks; and his brothers, Lester Ray Brooks and Jerry Lee Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Felicia Brooks Tolbert and Michael; his daughter-in-law Amanda Brooks; his grandchildren, Emily Brooks Haithcock (Seth), Andrew Brooks (Perla Sosa) and Harley Ann Brooks; and his sister Cathy Hodges.
