She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Lee and Elizabeth Sue Smith Smith; her husband Ellis Junior Ayers; her son Timmy Wayne Ayers; her great grandchild Thomas Ellis Smith; and her brothers, Herbert Lewis Smith, Billy Gray Smith and Bobby Lee Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Gloria Ann Smith and Ann Slate (Dusty); her grandchildren, Ashton Ayers, Paxton Slate, Phinn Slate, Elisha Harris (Stephen), Anthony Smith and Vanessa Luna (David); her great grandchildren, Tyler Harris, Nevaeh Harris, Maddy Harris, Hannah Harris, Abygail Faith, Elena Luna, Ximena Luna, Izzy Luna and Cesia Luna; her brother Jerry Smith (Phyllis); her aunt Minnie Cassidy; and her cousins, Frances Cooke, Daniel Cassidy and Donald Cassidy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
