Lonnie Miller Draughn Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lonnie Miller Draughn of Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on July 2, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas David and Anna Beatrice Smith Draughn; his wife Alice Faye Strickland Draughn; his siblings, Bertie Draughn Starr, Peggy Draughn Mosely and Gene David Draughn; and his sister-in-law Effie Draughn.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Bridgette Bunker; his stepdaughter-in-law Sandy Bunker; his stepgrandchildren, Marlee Bunker Tolbert, Jarred, Austin Rideout, Paige Draughn and Chase; his great grandchild Eden Tolbert; his brothers, Rudy Draughn (Karen) and Jimmy Draughn; and his siblings-in-law, Janie Jessup Draughn and Richard Starr.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A graveside service was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Skyline Memory Gardens (432 Old Buck Shoals Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Northern Regional Hospital, Skilled Nursing Unit, 830 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
