She was predeceased by: her daughter Debbie Tucker; and her brother Mike. She is survived by: her husband Thomas "Tom" August; her sons, Ricky Tucker and Scottie Tucker; her caregiver Barbara Simmons; and her pet Chiquitia. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers.
