He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cleveland and Margaret Lee Barker Ramsey; and his wife Nelda Jean Byrd Ramsey. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Ramsey, Doug Ramsey, Danny Ramsey, Jr. (Barbara) and David Ramsey (Tabitha); his grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Jenna Steele, Kristin Arnold (Elliot), Kelli Ramsey, Athena Baker (Duane), Brendan, Abby and Rebekah Ramsey; his great grandchildren, Kyra Steele, Rhett Steele, Lincoln Arnold, Aubree Baker and Mason Baker; his sisters, Sylvia Zimmerman and Maudie Ramsey (Portia Ramsey); and his friends, Melvin Rodgers and Marty Collins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Services (206 W Pine St, Mt Airy, NC 27030). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
