He is survived by: his children, Teresa Phillips Coins and Mark Phillips (Sherrie); his grandchildren, Kevin Coins (Tasha), Josh Coins (Dalana), Rosanna Coins, Heather Phillips Day (Keegan) and David Thomas (Hallie); and his sister Betty Payne. He is also survived by two nephews and one niece.

Flowers will be accepted, or in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Mountain Valley Hospice.
