He was predeceased by: his parents, John Allen Octavius and Annie Elizabeth Wooley Sneed; his wife Gertie Lola Chappell Sneed; and his siblings, John, Lonnie, Joe, Virginia Blake and Mae Dell Schulteis.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Sneed (Emily) of Pageland, Barry Sneed (Sandy) of Mt. Gilead and Lisa Sneed of Mt. Gilead; his grandchildren, Ryan Glover (Delera), Kyle Glover, Brian Sneed, Lauren Glover and Devin Sneed (Victoria); and his sister Betty Schulteis. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (200 W Allenton St, Mt Gilead, NC 27306). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Little River Umc Cemetery (774 NC-731, Mt Gilead, NC 27306).
