He was predeceased by: his parents, Bradford Burris and Opal Brock Burris; his siblings, Wayne Burris, Janell Cranford and Elaine Thomas; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Vanhoy and Michael Abraham.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Bell Burris; his children, Brad Burris (Jaranya) and Kim Kimrey (Joe); his grandchildren, Grace Burris, Garrett Burris, Kalyn Kimrey, Colten Kimrey, Julia Kimrey, Jacie Kimrey and Reid Kimrey; his sisters, Lois Morgan (Danny), Judy Vanhoy, Sue Griffin (Ron) and Jan Abraham; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Burris and David Thomas.
