He was predeceased by: his sister Catherine Lamonds; his nephew Christopher Deaton; and his pet Dixie. He is survived by: his wife Angela McRae Deaton; his children, Eric Deaton, Cassie Deaton (Derik Williams II) of Whiteville, NC and Ashley Smith (Marshall) of Clayton, NC; his granddaughters, Haleigh Jackson, Juliana Jackson, Breckin Williams, Sophia Smith and Adalynn Smith; his brother David'Pete'Deaton (Pat) of Mt. Gilead; his close friend Rachelle Roggiginol; and his pet Milo.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Methodist Church (398 Zion Church Rd, Mt Gilead, NC 27306).
