We are sad to announce that on July 14, 2025, at the age of 81, John Warren Bowers Jr. of Mount Gilead, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Warren Bowers and Virginia Fuquay Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Bowers; his sons, Jonathan Bowers (Julie) and Joel Bowers (Sarah); his stepchildren, Alison Brewbaker and Brent Brewbaker (Cindy); his grandchildren, Zane, Camden, Will, Kaitlyn and Preston; and his siblings, Doug Bowers (Shirley) and Gail Bowers. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (230 S 2nd St, Albemarle, NC 28001). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, 230 S. 2nd Street, Albemarle, NC 28001, or a charity of your choice.
