He is survived by: his wife Patty Morton (Bumpus); his children, Shelly (Morton) Glass (Gregory L. Glass), Sandy (Morton) (Whitesides) Franklin (Richard Lee Franklin) and Jimmy L. Morton, Jr.; his grandchildren, Henry "Trey" Whitesides, Matthew James Glass, Hannah P. Zaladonis (Whitesides), Anna G. Morton, Abigail E. Morton and Leah P. Morton; his brothers, Joe Morton, Kenny Morton and John Morton; and his brother-in-law Bill Bumpus.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ibew Union Hall (800 Indiana Ave, Charleston, WV 25302).
