She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Adell Moss and Mattie Sisk Moss; her husband Louis Joseph Burton; her son Christopher Morrison; her siblings, Irene Rose, Rebecca Moss, Ann Rogers and Elijah Moss; and her stepchildren, Earl Burton and Inez Burton.
She is survived by: her sisters, Virginia Donaldson (George) of Kings Mountain and Thelma Whitman of Easley; her children, Albert Morrison of Catawba, Louise Morrison Hoyle (Ricky) of Clover, Cynthia Morrison Buchanan (Chris) of Stanley and Joe Lee Burton of Rock Hill; and her stepsons, Roger Burton (Janet) of York and Ronnie Burton of Columbia. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home (375 Woodlawn Ave, Mt Holly, NC 28120). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at the Stanley Cemetery.
