He was predeceased by: his parents, John Davis and Maggie Arrowood Davis; his wife Patsy Gowan Davis; his siblings, Hazel, Ruth, Varrell, Arthur "Buddy", Wilbur, Bearl, Janet, Marie, Doris and Earl; and his sons-in-law, Billy Keeter, Rodney Lovin and Ricky Morris.
He is survived by: his children, Max Bryan Davis (Monica), Nancy "Bootle" Keeter and Linda Davis; his grandchildren, Kelly Morris, Kevin Morris (Beth), Max Brayden Davis (Trinity), Nathan Davis, Shannon Keeter and Brandon Keeter; and his great grandchildren, Nathaniel Morris, Marley and Lorie Ann Keeter.
