He is survived by : his wife Janet Stallings Powell; his sons, Dewey Lee Powell, Jr. and Corey Brandon Powell; his siblings, Joseph Irvin Powell, Sr. (late Margie), Willie Ray Powell (Carolyn), Doris Powell Cherry and Sally Powell Hodgin (late George); and his pet Bree Lee.
