He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Talmage and Ruth Hudson Hollamon; his daughter Angie Waddell; and his sister Lois Gail Thigpen. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Hollamon; his son Brad Hollamon of Mount Olive; his siblings, Robert Carrol Hollamon (Diane) of Smithfield and Debbie Epps (Lynn Epps) of Goldsboro; his brother-in-law Harrell Thigpen of Kinston; his grandchildren, Max Waddell (Rachel) and Macy Lancaster; his great grandchildren, Bralen, Stevie, Caiden and Tucker; and his son-in-law Tracy Waddell (Joan).
