She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Byrd and Virginia Chesnutt Byrd; her husbands, Robert Lee Pate and William Dexter Jackson; her brothers, Dallas Byrd, Stanley Byrd and Kenneth Byrd; and her sister-in-law Shirley Rudolph.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Pate-Edwards (Dennis) of Goldsboro, Lee Pate (Joy) of Faison, Keith Pate (Liesl Hill) of Mount Olive and William Luther Jackson of Mount Olive; her brothers, Mitchell Byrd of Wilmington and Jimmy Byrd of Faison; her sisters-in-law, Jean Byrd of Mount Olive and Iris Pate; her grandchildren, Rylee Ward (Chase), Marshall Pate, Abbey O'Neal (Alex), Dex Jackson (Morgan) and Scarlett Jernigan (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Eliza, Ever Jackson and Almon Jernigan.
