She is survived by: her children, Larie Harper of Albertson, Wyatt Talmadge Harper of Kenansville and Mark Daniel Harper (Geraldine) of Albertson; her granddaughter Jessica Nicole Makison (Jimmy); her great grandchildren, Chloe Elizabeth of Cary, Nelson Wyatt of Cary and William Daniel Makison of Cary; her granddaughter Jamie Lynne Wood (Shawn Kelly) of Kenansville; her sister Denise Ann Kornegay Ward; her brother-in-law Tom Ward of Apex; her nieces and nephews, Deborah Jean Trotter Holbrook (Tom), Alicia Trotter Simpson (Mark), Robert Abernethy (Yvonne), Richard Abernethy (Cherie Hubble), Catherine Marie Ward Carpenter (John) and Elizabeth Jeanette Herron (Terry); Pam Sullivan (family: Mary Ann Kornegay Beck, Patrick Howard, Norbert Ezzell, Jimmy, Debbie Jones).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Ruth S. Herring Fellowship Hall at Alum Springs Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Alum Springs Baptist Church.
