He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifton and Hazel Holmes; and his siblings, Eunice Guy, Kay Swinson, Lorraine Creech, James "Buddy", Judson, Willie and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his daughter Jeri Lynn Coker (Christy); his granddaughter Jetty "Jetty Blue"; and his sister Shirley Overton.
