He is survived by: his wife Maxine Teachey Summerlin; his children, John Richard "Jay" Summerlin II (Brandi Trott Bonds), Susan Summerlin Eason (John) and Rebekah Summerlin Tan (John); his grandchildren, Joshua Summerlin, Sarahbeth Eason, Daniel Eason, Rachel Eason, Josiah Eason, Christian Tan and David Tan; his stepgrandchildren, Quade, Kyle and Kara; and his sister Marie Walker. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
