With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jonnie Barefoot (Mount Olive, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ethol and Susan B. Barefoot of Newton Grove; and his siblings, Mary Elaine Barefoot of Mount Olive and Linwood Barefoot of Newton Grove. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his brother Jerry (Janice) of Garner, NC; his children, John Barefoot (Brittni) of Mount Olive, NC and Susan Hill (Dennis) of Stantonsburg, NC; and his grandchildren, JJ and Magnolia Hill.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Friendly Holiness PFWB Church (1000 S Jordans Chapel Rd, Mt Olive, NC 28365). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jordan Chapel Community Meals on Wheels Program or 3HC Home Health & Hospice continuing his legacy of service to others.
