She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter H. Goodson and Lela Mae Williams Goodson; her son-in-law David Letchworth; her sisters, Rosa Lee Lambert and Bertha G. Howard; and her niece Rose Lambert Butts.

She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Swinson; her children, Anne S. Letchworth of Mount Olive, Neil Swinson (Teresa) of Mount Olive and Melody S. Jones (Timmy) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Bryan Letchworth, Matthew Letchworth, Greg Swinson (Laura Rachel), Jonathan Smith (Kristen), Kelly Jones and Aaaron Jones; and her great grandchildren, Makayla Letchworth, McKensey Letchworth, Wilson Rouse, James Ellis Swinson and Tate Swinson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and several in-laws.
