She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Edward "Tom" Bennett, Sr.; her grandson Billy Roberts; her parents, Henry S. King and Minnie Smith King; and her siblings, Jacqueline King, Margaret King Price, Thelma King Starling Parrish, Virginia King Bailey, Kathleen King Torres, Charlie King, William King, Henry Lee King and Percy King.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Edward "Tommy" Bennett, Jr. of Mount Olive and Sandy Bennett Roberts; her son-in-law W. R. Roberts of Faison; her grandchildren, Anna Bennett of Mount Olive, Ashley Bennett of Mount Olive and Hayden Roberts of Faison; her sister Barbara King "Dink" Paige (Jesse Tolbert) of Warsaw; and her niece Joannie Nunn of Faison.
