She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert Miller and Armittie Miller; her husband Walter Barfield Jr.; and her daughter Carnice Barfield-Pettit. She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Miller, Roy Lee Miller, Annie L. Kornegay, Preston Miller and Shirley M. Mills; her daughter McKale Barfield-Best; her grandchildren, Tia Best, Rikki Best, Ty Best (Christina) and RaShonte Pettit; her great grandchildren, Kynnedi, Jordan Kate, Jaison and Carson; her goddaughter Sherrita Kornegay; and her sisters-in-law, Mildred Miller, Lela Mae King (Joe), Evelyn Barfield and Everlena Barfield.
