She was predeceased by: her husband William Scott Kornegay; her daughter Victoria Ann Kornegay; her parents, Willard Kornegay and Sadie Ezzell Kornegay; and her brothers, Ranson "Dick" Kornegay, Charles Dewey Kornegay, Carlton Kornegay and Coy Kornegay.

She is survived by: her daughters, Crystal (Creighton Fowler) and Anita (Ryan Strickland); her grandchildren, Victoria Gorman (Caleb) of Garner, Colton Wade Fowler of Mount Olive and Dylan Strickland of Beulaville; her fiancés, Ashley Hall and Kaleb Strickland of Beulaville; and her sisters, Wilma K. Jones (Warren) of Mount Olive, Lana Carol K. Coker of Mount Olive, Eva K. Taylor of Mount Olive and Vickie K. Dail of Calypso. She is also survived by his brother and in-laws, as well as the Kornegay nieces and nephews.
