He was predeceased by: his wife Jo Ann Brogden Bishop; his parents, Herman Bishop and Julia Rhodes Bishop; and his siblings, Chancey "Bud" Bishop, Doris B. Carrell, Athalene B. Jones, Hubert Bishop, Hillburn Bishop, Haylon Bishop, Ruth B. Houston and Marie B. Andrews.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Ann Bishop Whitted (Ormond Whitted, Jr.) and Tony Ray Bishop (Robin Britt Bishop); his close friend Jo Deal of Mount Ollive; his sister Mary Rose Brock of Georgia; his grandsons, Graham Whitted (Amber Lawrence Whitted), Cody Ray Whitted and Anthony Ray Bishop; and his great grandchildren, Avery, Taylor, Rowen, Luke and Devon Whitted. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
