She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover C. Jordan and Annie Reaves Jordan; and her siblings, Verna Jordan, Grover Cleveland Jordan, Jr., Betty J. Mozingo, Geraldine J. Darden, Sarah J. Tyner, Virginia J. Myers and Perry Jordan.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel H. Kornegay; her daughters, Cindy K. (Rouse Ivey) and Diane K. (Allen Best); her grandchildren, John Daniel Ivey (Rebekah), Abbie C. Ivey, Steven Best and Karen B. Painter (Marlan); her great grandchildren, Cresson, Johnson, Charlotte Ivey, Matthew, Nora Williams and Olivia Painter; and her siblings, Judy J. Goode of Grantham and Jimmy Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Tyndall Funeral Home (1005 N Church St, Mt Olive, NC 28365). A committal service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery.
