He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin R. Whitfield and Joyce Whitman Whitfield. He is survived by: his brother Benjamin Luke Whitfield; his wife Kay Rogers Whitfield; his sons, Brandon M. Whitfield of Burlington, Benjamin G. Whitfield (Brooke Kelly Whitfield) of Mount Olive and Matthew Whitfield (Faith Wright Whitfield) of Mount Olive; his sister Deborah W. Smith (Eddie) of Selma; and his grandchildren, Riley Marie Augustino, Ethan Whitfield, Hannah Whitfield, Alisa Grace Whitfield and Anders Whitfield.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial gifts be submitted to Royal Home Ministries, 7490 N West St. Falcon, NC 28342 (a grogram founded by his late parents to save infants from abortion and to offer hope and care for challenged expectant mothers).
