He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertice A. House and Helen Davis House; his sister Barbara Jane H. Stroud (Billy); and his pet C. J.. He is survived by: his wife Edna Smith House; his children, Sharon House Lee of Faison, Pam House Lindsay of Mount Olive and William Austin House, Jr. of Mount Olive; his grandchildren, Amanda Lee (Garrett Lambert), Lindsay Lee (Jason Ginn), Chelsey Lee (William Best III) and Anna Elizabeth "Annie" Lindsay of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his great grandchildren, Emma Grace Lambert, Savannah Lambert, Jaxon Ginn, Callee Jayne Ginn, Ethan Wiggins, Liam Best, Paislee Best and Autumn "Smiley" Best; and his siblings, B. A. House, Jr. (Colene) of Bickmore and Ann H. Woolard (Bill) of Goldsboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
