He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby June Cloninger and Bernice Harrison Cloninger. He is survived by: his wife Lisa McRorie Cloninger; his stepdaughter Alyssa Huie (Harrison); his brother Bobby Cloninger (Lynda); his nieces, Emily Slagle (Jacob) and Anna Cloninger; his nephew Robert Cloninger; his great-niece Caroline Slagle; and his great-nephew Harrison Slagle.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant (8559 Cook St, Mt Pleasant, NC 28124). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (100 St Johns Church Rd, Concord, NC 28025).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Cabarrus K9 Retirement Fund, 540 Hinson Rd., Richfield, NC 28137. Contributions to the fund directly support the retired K9s of the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office by helping cover veterinary care, medical expenses, food, and other needs as they enjoy their well-deserved retirement.
