We announce the death of Noel Clare Heflin Ulmer of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 83. Noel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Ruby Vaughan Heflin and Clarence Elmer Heflin, Jr.; and her husband Warren Thomas "Buck" Ulmer. She is survived by: her children, Dana Lynn Ulmer Hilfirty (John) of Mount Pleasant, NC, Warren Scott Ulmer (Erna) of Geiselwind, Germany, Stacie Ann Ulmer Edmiston (Cecil) of Fort Worth, TX and Susan Irene Ulmer Martin (James) of Brownstown, IN; her sister Sallie Kelly (Gene) of Doyline, LA; her grandchildren, Dalton Hilfirty (Sam) of Portland, OR, Devin Hilfirty of Flora, IL, Sabrina Ulmer of Geiselwind, Taylor Houston of Belmont, NC and Sydne Edmiston of Dallas, TX; her stepgrandson Logan Martin (Emma) of Seymour, IN; and her stepgreat-grandson Adrian Martin of Seymour, IN. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Iatt Baptist Church.
