We announce the death of Phillip Lane McRorie of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 79. Phillip will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy A. McRorie and Mary Boyce McRorie; and his siblings, Roy McRorie, Jerry McRorie and Juana McRorie Nance.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Talley McRorie; his daughters, Lisa Cloninger (Brent) and Angie Carpenter (Dave); his grandchildren, Alyssa Huie, Will Thompson and Josie Mauney; his sisters, Alishia Norris and Valerie McRorie; his niece Rebecca; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Marlee, Colton, Trey and Sarah; Ashton and Alayna.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Home of Mt (8559 Cook St, Mt Pleasant, NC 28124). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant (8559 Cook St, Mt Pleasant, NC 28124). A burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at the Cabarrus Memorial Gardens (3892 NC-73, Concord, NC 28025).
