He was predeceased by: his parents, Scebert Dennis Ellis and Minnie Bragg Ellis; his wife Cathy Hobbs Ellis; his brother Richard Ellis; and his granddaughter Heather Ellis.
He is survived by: his children, Seabert Ellis, Angela Christie (Robert), Clint Ellis and Ashley Tevepaugh (Tommy); and his sisters, Joyce Reams, Mable Hatfield and Ellie Lambeth. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Community Baptist Church (274 Langtree Rd, Davidson, NC 28036). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
