He is survived by: his wife Laura Poteat; his son Derek Myers of Detroit, MI; his stepson Shawn Menster of Dawsonville, GA; his daughters, Stephanie Myers of Mooresville, NC and Tracie Morris (James) of Lansing, MI; his brother-in-law Roger Kowalski of Sterling Heights, MI; his grandchildren, Hailey Morris, Dustin Myers, Jennifer Peoples, Jason Robinson and Justin Robinson; his great grandchildren, Vanessa, Kai and Chase; and also Tamara Johnson of Mooresville, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family asks all memorials by made to the Centenary Methodist Church Choir.
