It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Hawes of Mount Ulla, North Carolina, born in Henderson, North Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Allison James Dixon and Joyce Harrison Dixon. She is survived by : her husband Wilfred "Bill" Hawes; her daughters, Jessie Hawes Graham (Chris) and Frances "Fran" Barbara Hawes; and her grandchildren, Dylan Salter, Randi Leigh Salter, Rylee Jo Graham and Rachel Graham.
