She is survived by: her children, Carlton Smith, Jr. (Debbie) of Moyock, NC, David Craig Smith (Phyllis) of Moyock, NC and Katherine Ann Smith Conrad (Tom) of Satellite Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Wesley Smith, Kevin Smith, Julie Mason Smith, Joani Mason, James Pleasant, Jeffrey Pleasant, Tara Brinkley and Nicki Rodriguez; and her nephews, Nathan Spencer, Jr. and Kenneth Spencer. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren.
