He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Melvin VanSickels and Dorothy Irene Joseph VanSickels. He is survived by: his daughter Melissa VanSickels Pervere; his brother Joseph Edward VanSickels; his granddaughters, Ava Faye Pervere and Amelia Rose Pervere; and his nephew Nicholas Joseph VanSickels.
His involvement extended to the American Cancer Society, where he once served as president, further illustrating his desire to contribute positively to society.
