He is survived by : his parents, George Mitchell and Edith Mitchell; his sons, Alan Mitchell (Melissa) of Raleigh and Jeffrey Mitchell (Elizabeth) of Morrisville; the mother of his children Teresa Olphert; his siblings, Paul Mitchell of Houston, TX and Carol Mitchell of Morehead City; and his grandchildren, Liam, Keller, Lennon and Evelynn Mitchell.
