He was predeceased by: his parents, James Colonel Hocutt and Ella Mae Strickland Hocutt; and his brothers, Roger Hocutt and Wayne Hocutt. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean; his children, Tammy Sue Barnes, Cynthia Annette Gore, Alma Jean Brewer and Robert E. Hocutt, Jr.; and his siblings, Peggy Crocker, Betty Jo Crocker and Dan Hocutt. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
