He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew James and Mary Agnes Segrest Cooper; his wife Tammy Lynn Brown Cooper; and his daughter Andrea Denise Cooper. He is survived by: his sons, Andrew David Cooper Jr. (Tracy) of Foley, Alabama and James Michael Cooper (Sarah) of Foley, Alabama; and his sister Ann Cooper of Gulf Shores, Alabama. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
