She was predeceased by: her parents, James Riddle and Eva Marie Riddle; her husband Marvin Garrett; her son Eddie Messer; her granddaughter Vanessa Bland; and her brother Richard Bateman.
She is survived by: her children, Ken Messer (Lorrie), Debbie Chambers (Allen), Jim Messer (Melanie) and Ancy Garrett (Mark); her stepsons, Travis and Joey Garrett; her grandchildren, Rusty Chambers, Jennifer Nelson (Chris), Jonathan Messer (Brittany) and Ashley Wimpey; and her great grandchildren, Morgan, Aaron Bland, Rebekah, Reese, Ryland Chambers, Tripp, Slade Purdy, Fiona Wimpey, Jaxon, Maddox and Lennox Nelson.
