It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dana Lee Pope of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Harold Pope and Gladys Irene Carlton Pope; his wife Karen Bootsma Pope; his children, Danielle, Jared, Caleb and Luke; his grandchildren, Celeste, Caedmon, Felicity, Bentley Herod, Cassidy, Asher, Autumn Pope and Sawyer Pope; and his siblings, Donna Mizell, Cindy Pope, Jane Pope and Buddy Pope.
