It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel Lanier Bius of Murphy, North Carolina, born in Moultrie, Georgia, who passed away on November 7, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Leon Bius and Lila Callaway Bius; and his siblings, William Leon Bius and Margaret Rivers. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lemons Bius of Murphy; his daughters, Dana Leigh Bius of Ellicott City, Maryland and Tracy Bius Lynge (Christopher Lynge) of Ellicott City, Maryland; his grandchildren, Daniel, Reece and Kara; his sisters, Preble Pate of Albany and Claire Etheredge of Doerun, Georgia; and his sister-in-law Faye Bius of Doerun. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Berry College in Rome, Georgia, or the Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation at diabetesaction.org.
