He was predeceased by: his father Edward Hughes; and his siblings, Helen Hughes Cook and Jack Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Frankie Porter Hughes; his children, Roger Dale Hughes, Richard Joseph Hughes, Jeffery Donald Hughes (Pamela), Patricia Dianne Hughes and Cynthia Lynn Mashburn; his brothers, Richard Hughes, Paul Hughes and Royce Hughes (Muriel); and his sister-in-law Mildred Hughes. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren; his 18 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to a favorite charity of choice.
