He is survived by: his siblings, Johnny Kernea, Larry Kernea (Jill), Tim Kernea (Debbie) and Brenda Anderson; his siblings' children, Nicole Sharp, Nathan Arrant (Lacye), Elizabeth Buchanan (Jason), Amber Mathieu (Cory), Michael Kernea (Elisabeth), Kendall Lovingood (Matthew) and Kailey Bailey (Thristen); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Eliana Sharp, Elise Sharp, Marin Sharp, Delaney Reid, Ansley Buchanan, Brooks Buchanan, Skylar Mathieu, Myles Mathieu, Avery Mathieu, Carter Kernea, Corie Kernea, Sutton Lovingood, Maddox Bailey, Kollsen Bailey and Addison Bailey.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel (138 Peachtree St, Murphy, NC 28906).
